Event Details : ICCR presents 'Essence of Stones, Captured on Canvas' art exhibition by Kumar Vikas Saxena. 

Man’s relationship with stones can be traced from the very beginning of the creation. From igniting  the life-sustaining fire to  providing shelter and ultimately romancing the stone by transferring his soul and emotions in it to give it a life of its own, by reaching a stage where the creator becomes one with his creation.

From being mountains challenging the spirit with unconquerable heights to being  a pebble that creates ripples in a calm lake soothing the spirit, stone has never failed to evoke emotion; sometimes of romance and at others of resilience and devotion.
Its vastness of possibilities and inextricable relation with man has inspired the artist in me to capture some of its essence in my canvases, celebrating emotions, celebrating life.
