Event Details : Centre for Civil Society, Delhi. CCS is an independent, non-profit, research and educational organisation devoted to improving the quality of life for all citizens in India by reviving and reinvigorating civil society. To bring our ideology to the youth, are running and educational fest called Freedom Caravan: "The Morality of Capitalism"
The word ‘capitalism’ seems to draw out rather mixed reactions from people. Capitalism is based on the positive ideas of liberty, free market, freedom of speech, and equal rights. Yet it is also commonly associated with ideas such as exploitation, oppression, ruthlessness, and greed.
While on one hand we have people criticizing capitalism for widening inequalities, on the other we have consensus that all said and done, capitalism is the best system we have.
So what IS capitalism? And is capitalism Moral?
