Time : 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm
Event Details : Atelier Theatre Repertory in association with The American Center presents 'Teen Natak', a festival of American plays.
Schedule :
3rd February : Khusar Phusar (Based on Neil Simon's RUMORS/ Hindi/ 80 mins)
Several affluent couples gather in the posh suburban residence for a dinner party celebrating their hosts' first anniversary. When they arrive, they discover there is no house staff, the hostess is missing, and the host - the deputy mayor of New York City - has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given their upper class status, they decide they need to conceal the evening's events from the local police and the media.
4th February : The Zoo Story (Based on Edward Albee's THE ZOO STORY/ Bilingual/ 70 mins)
This one-act play concerns two characters, Peter and Jerry. Peter is a middle-class publishing executive with a wife, two daughters, two cats, and two parakeets. Jerry is an isolated and disheartened man. These men meet on a park bench in New Delhi's Central Park, when Jerry is desperate to have a meaningful conversation with another human being.
5th February : Laughter on the 23rd floor (Neil Simon's / English/ 80 mins)
Inspired by the playwright's youthful experience as a staff writer on Sid Caesar's “Your Show of Shows”. This play is an attendant comic drama as the harried writing staff frantically scrambles to top each other with gags while competing for the attention of star madman "Max Prince."
