Event Details : Cine Darbaar and Indian Council of Culture Relations (ICCR) are organizing the first ever premiere of a documentary film on the history, culture and growth of Delhi between 1911-2011 titled Delhi Diary on 15thDecember, 2011. The film screening will be inaugurated by Shri Suresh Goel, DG, ICCR.
Delhi Diary is a research project commissioned by Modern School to Cine Darbaar to work with 100 children on research, script and shooting a film on 100 years of New Delhi as a capital. Over the period of 24 days the students along with the team members of Cine Darbaar drafted the script, created the scenario and set out on a journey to uncover the history of Delhi through architecture, people, places and list of luminaries from our Chief Minister, Sheila Dixit, Architects like KT Ravindran, Art Custodians like Rajeev Lochan, authors like Willam Dalyrmplre and shops like the Rikki Ram Music Gallery that has its histories tied to the Beatles.
The film will give an opportunity to witness the rich history, culture and advent of Delhi as a capital from its beginning in 1911 to 2011. The film screening will be followed by quizzes, a Q/A session with the film's director and workshop.
