Bharatnatyam to Innvovating with Form with Anusha Lall
10 am to 12 pm
In this masterclass, Bharatanatyam will be approached with an investigator’s eye: the mechanisms of Bharatanatyam will be explored and the technique deconstructed. The class aims at bridging the gap between traditional dance and contemporary practices by initiating a contemporary way to look at
traditional techniques.
Anusha Lall works in the field of classical dance and contemporary performance. Her recent choreographic works, Sambodhan, Vyuti and Tilt have been inspired from the movement vocabulary of Bharatanatyam and attempt to discover fresh dynamics.

Yoga for Dancers with Navtej Johar
10am to 12 pm
Apart from strengthening, lengthening and aligning their body, dancers also need to protect it in a special way as they use both the gross as well as subtle energies. This yoga session will focus on both working the body and breath in tandem through asana and pranayama practice.
Navtej Johar is a Bharatanatyam exponent and a choreographer, whose work is unique in that it freely traverses between the traditional and the avant-garde.

Hip Hop with Brahim Bouchelaghem

locking, popping and boogaloo.
French dancer and choreographer Brahim Bouchelaghem is a self-taught hip hop dancer, He has worked
with well-known French hip hop companies and with dancer-choreographer Carolyn Carlson.

Contemporary Dance with Philippe Priasso
1 to 3 pm
This workshop is an opportunity for each participant to work on the movement that is their distinctive
movement so as to create their own dance. The idea is to use one’s technique as a means of expressing one’s creativity.
Co-founder of the Beau Geste Company, Philippe Priasso contributes to the artistic productions of this company as dancer and choreographer. Also he has been developing a course inspired by the Nikolais
technique.
