Event Details : Creativity Art Gallery presents “Transmutation” painting exhibition by Tejinder Kanda.
Whether it's for big canvasses or small, Delhi based Artist, Tejindar Kanda, strikes back with his Third Solo exhibition “Transmutation” at Sridharani Art Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam Tansen Marg Mandi House, New Delhi.
Luminosity and practical use of colours are the most tangible aspects represented in Teji's Work (Tejindar Kanda). With his Third Solo exhibit, he recreates the connect with his audiences with his tool – the palette knife. With multiple layer and colour-coordinated strokes, his works convey his creative and aesthetic bent towards the art form.
Allowing playful interplay of luscious and vibrant colours - Teji mixes his colours on the canvas. Teji's focus on Alla Prima brings the true essence of spontaneity and natural expression, evident in the art form. Creating a tangible space on his canvases by application of colours in solid and physical form-is what he admires the most. His style is Optical Blending, which gives rise to new colour forms with utmost luster and freshness.
Using different techniques of expressions, his art form represents a contemporary art style. The juxtaposed placement of tones or patches makes the beholder to perceive the exact feel in the painting. Teji has evidently tried to represent various moods in his compositions; whether it’s foreshortening, arial or atmospheric – through rough and edgy surfaces.
Expressing a reflationary attribute, Teji's art reflects fluted use of Palette Knife. And this transition from shadows to reflection creates an unbound liquidity in his painting form. The form of “full colour seeing” is well maintained throughout Teji's work and infers his inclination towards pigments and its application, which poses a prior place in his works.
