Event Details : Gati Forum presents Workshop in Feldenkrais Method, Contemporary Dance and Improvisation with Michel Casanovas.
Through the sensitive approach of the Feldenkrais method (awareness through movement ), followed by the use of larger movements in floor- work and improvisations, this workshop is an invitation for a body- mind exploration for its participants. Through awareness of their usual movement patterns and then by questioning their actual validity, the participants will get a chance to realize and clarify functional movement. This will lead them towards finding a more direct, refined and spontaneous way of expressing themselves in motion.
Born in France, Michel Casanovas has studied in ballet, contemporary dance, release technique and contact improvisation. Besides his artistic work and research, Michel’s interests are in teaching dance and body-mind explorations in a functional and practical way.
