Event Details : American Center in collaboration with Cine Darbaar is organizing a 3 day documentary film festival.  The festival will be showcasing contemporary American documentary films such as Racing Dreams, Which Way Home and No Subtitles Necessary: Laszlos and Vilmos.
Chasing Dreams will be highlighting the theme youth and their dreams associated with America through these film screenings. Our opening film No Subtitles necessary is a winner of several film festivals including the world premiere award at Cannes film festival. Every film screening will be followed by interactive sessions with the audience and a quiz round. The movies also deal with a popular problems like immigration in American. The 2nd film screening Which Way Home will be followed by a panel discussion to highlight US immigration policy and Immigrant stories.
The festival also has a special section called Chasing Dreams for kids which will take place on 28th and 29th for Kids where they can enjoy series of short documentaries along with animated package of short films. A workshop on how to documentary film is also being organized in the morning shows.

SHOOTING STYLE OF A DOCUMENTARY FILM: A WORKSHOP
Learn the basic grammar of cinema and various methods to shoot a documentary film. The session will
highlight the difference between fiction and documentary films and will also focus on popular camera
shots that form a documentary film.
QUIZ COMPETITION
The quiz round will include questions from the film and workshop. Children will get a chance to win
exciting prizes like bags, mugs etc.
