Event Details : The Artiste Foundation (TAF) an NGO avid supporter of Arts that works towards supporting, felicitating and bringing established and upcoming artiste together to work on noble and thought provoking subjects to create awareness in the society and also to entertain people with beautiful and interesting performances.
This time ‘TAF’ along with ‘BLACK ENTERTAINMENT’ a group of highly talented and enthusiastic theatre artistes, who want to take their work to masses has taken a step forward to dedicate their talent to portray the positive thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi on stage. The group is into creating world class Theatre Production, Acting Workshops/Classes, Content & Concept development for TV production. Overall its a family of Acting Talents whose sole wish is to entertain people and share various feelings of life with them and present their entertaining and intelligent work on stage.
The Play ‘HATYA EK AAKAR KI’ is based on the story written by Mr. Lalit Sehgal in Hindi to be directed by Mr. CHANDRA BHUSHAN SINGH
Synopsis : A gripping thought provoking play for the intellectual audience.
The play is about Mahatma Gandhi who has been portrayed in the theater which explores how the Father of the nation sacrificed his life for his principles like Truth, Non-violence, Vegetarianism, Brahmacharya, Simplicity and Faith. The theme of the play is about Mahatma Gandhi's Philosophy, Experimental Beliefs and his Theories & actions.
The setting is simple yet unique. The scene is placed four hours before the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi took place, where few Hindu extremist who held Gandhiji responsible for weakening India. The characters are all set to assassinate the Father of the Nation for many political and social reasons. They felt that he is sacrificing Hindu interest and is majorly to be blamed for the partition of India.
One of the group members is influenced by the ideologies of Gandhiji. He is against this assassination. To put their respective points across, the setting is changed into a court scene where Gandhiji defends the accusations thrown at him. It also depicts Mahatma Gandhi views towards British rule, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, views on Nehruji, Mohd. Jinnah, the Satya Grah movement, Minority Community and etc.
An interesting and fast moving pace with the crisp direction of Chandra Bhushan Singh and applaud worthy performance of AAAA, DDDDD, JJJJJ(write artistes name) is a must watch for all Indians and history lovers.
A never before insight on the life of Mahatma Gandhi and controversies surrounding BAPU’s ideologies and his assassination.
