Event Details : 'What Was Home' an exhibition of photographs by Dileep Prakash.

Excerpts form the essay by Deepak Ananth : What Was Home was triggered by a desire to revisit the past, a poignant quest if ever there was one, not learst because it was a return to the place where Dileep Prakash spent his childhood and formative years, a place, moreover, that was only notionally a home, since he was returning to the boarding school to which he was sent away at the age of nine. The title of this book of photographs eloquently sums up the profound amvilance of someone who, even as an adult, still needs to ask himself about the sense of familial belonging that, as a child, seemed to have been out of bounds for him...
