Event Details : 'Relishing Life' An Exhibition of Artworks by Saswati Chaudhuri.
Saswati is an artist by destiny. An adequate exposure to Art, Music, Literature and Good Cinema enriched her thought process naturally, as those practices were part of daily life since childhood. Saswati has been showcasing her works in several group shows, participation in state level & National level shows, camps and eight solo exhibitions since 1980 till date.
Her concepts are inspired by real life experiences, human emotions, social issues and mythology. Being an educated and practicing artist exploring various mediums, her artistic quest reached a level of worthy individual style. Her ability to transform ideas into visual presentation moved towards perfection gradually during a long creative journey spanning more than thirty years.
Saswati carries a thoughtful beauty of melancholy in her mind's canvas and she incorporates her ideas through her artistic intellect, influenced by European Classical style.
It's also rooted in the Bengal School, and the confluence reflects in everything she chooses to create. Humanity, life and nature have been her most favourite themes.
Saswati believes that she is born with her brush, destined to be an artist and she lives through her brushstrokes.
She lives and works in Delhi.
