19th February : “Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamayai Nai”
The play does not reject religion but highlights how the anti- social aliments take advantage of it. Perhaps this is the most relevant play written on communal harmony post 1947. And in our nation, communal harmony still keeps shattering at short / long intervals.
20th February : “Tajmahal ka Tender”
Shahjahan had a dream to built Taj Mahal but how could it be possible? It depends on the strong shoulders of the Chief Engg. Gupta ji, who has the Special Advisor, PA Sudhir and a Special Assistant besides Contractor Bhaiya ji. All the three are engaged in the planning of Taj Mahal. A corporation is built, hundreds of Clerks and Engineers are appointed, lacs of Rupees are misused. Guptaji builts his Building. Hotel and then Farm House but Taj Mahal? The work is going on as per rules and procedures and if it remains under hands of Gupta ji, Sudhir and Bhaya ji - there would be no completion of Taj Mahal. The question is when the tender of Taj Mahal will come out...
