Odissi dancer Dr.Sonal Mansingh will perform a narrative composition titled Krishna Ranga Rachee. The katha is based on episodes from Krishna’s life.
Dr. Sonal Mansingh is a familiar name as an eminent Indian classical dancer proficient in Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Chhau & Natya Katha. Over the years, dance has taken her all over the world and brought her many awards, including the Padma Vibhushan (2003) India's the second highest civilian award, in 2003; making her the first woman dancer in India to receive such an honor, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1987 and the Padma Bhushan.
