Event Details : Nrityalaya, a U.S. based school of Indian Classical Odissi Dance directed by Dr. Chitra Krishnamurti will perform “Helen Keller: A Multimedia, Multicultural Dance.” The life and works of Helen Keller will be depicted in this dance drama, not only by means of the self-expression aspect of Odissi dance, but also through the iconic dances of other countries.
This production highlights Helen’s relationship with her teacher, her efforts to promote independence for the disabled, her antiwar ideals and her work towards empowering women.
