Unveiling of the book 'Kailāśā - a journey within' By Guruji Rev. Katsu Horiuchi and Prof Anand Kumar ( JNU)
This book encapsulates the journey of the author, Shamim Akhtar to Kailasa , the abode of Shiva. It is a compilation of his experience of the yatra and the feelings that it invoked.
Breath-taking pictures, in this book, of the holy mount and the holy lake Manasarovar are mere illustrations of his thoughts.
 Followed by public preview of the film 'Kailāśā - the seventh heaven' The 38 mins film is an attempt to make one experience the yatra and feel the divinity in ones life.

The film is made both in English and Hind.

Both versions will be viewed.

Shamim Akhtar, a former student of Sociology ( JNU), is an avid biker, photographer and author. This is his fourth book and first film. He has six solo photography exhibitions to his credit. By profession he is in civil service, a middle level officer with GNCT of Delhi.
