The Actor Factor Theatre Company presents First Act, Beginners’ Guide to Acting & Stagecraft.
If the idea of doing ‘Theatre’ always excited you, then this is the time to take a plunge. Join ADITEE BISWAS (Alumnus of NSD) to explore what Energy, Physicality, Concentration, Character, Self-Awareness, Teamwork and Environment mean to an actor. This INTENSIVE 14-DAY THEATRE PROGRAMME is also designed to equip you with vital tools and in-depth knowledge, enabling you to script, design and stage your own plays.
Workshop Director’s Profile : Aditee Biswas is a graduate from the National School of Drama in 2004 with a specialization in Design and Direction. She has collaborated with eminent theatre directors such as M.K. Raina, Roysten Abel, Mahesh Dattani, Maya Rao, Vivek Mansukhani, Sita Raina, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Abhilash Pillai; and assisted the likes of Anuradha Kapur, Rob Clare, Tripurari Sharma and more. Aditee has conducted several theatre workshops; and directed & designed several theatre productions in India and abroad. She directed ‘The Little Prince’ for Bhatnagar International School and J.B. Priestly's ‘An Inspector Calls’ for School of Planning and Architecture. Her play ‘Portrait of Dora’ featured at the Theatre Utsav 2008; and the same year at the Summer Theatre Festival, the NSD Repertory Company premiered her physical theatre piece ‘Untitled’. She has also performed at the Bunkamura Theatre, Tokyo and Seoul Performing Arts Festival. Beginning 2010, her first dance theatre piece ‘In/Out/In’, a collaborative performance between Indian and German artists was premiered at the Theatre Utsav. Presently, Aditee is a member of the visiting faculty for ‘World Drama’ at the National School of Drama.
