Event Details : Mundane - A solo exhibition by Smita Barooah Sanyal.
There are silvers of beauty hidden in everyday experiences- the polished floor of a Taoist temple, a crumbling facade, and an old lock still guarding a forgotten gate…
In her first solo exhibition in Delhi, Smita Barooah Sanyal explores the unexpected allure of the mundane. Through  the images she has sought to capture the beauty that is often ignored in the rush of modern life. The interaction between colour, shape and structure are a recurring theme in her photographs.
Smita’s earlier collections have been exhibited at art galleries in Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Kolkata.
The photographs for this collection have been compiled from her travels across the world.
