Event Details : Sharan Apparao of Apparao Galleries in association with The Serigraph Studio (Contemporary Art Prints) presents Sakti Burman’s ‘The Complete Collection an exhibition of Limited Edition Serigraphs’.
Sakti Burman is one of India's leading artists working between France and India.
His Bengali parentage and life in Europe is combined together in his out put of paintings. Lyrical, allegorical, narrative, his paintings tell stories within stories. He layers the characters and mythological beings in his paintings with his family and friends setting theme in historic locations and instances.
The surface treatment that is specially evolved by Sakti Burman over the last couple of decades is akin to the Florentine marbling in its appearance.
Sakti Burman has exhibited all over the world and belongs in several important collections.
The Serigraph Studio has put together a collection of serigraphs that is being released all over the country.
In Chennai, Apparao Galleries and The Serigraph Studio jointly present the serigraph portfolio while Apparao Galleries extends the collections to his recent canvasses in this show titled “The Complete Collection”.
