Event Details : REHWA presents a unique range of Home LINEN for the 1st time
Delhi will open its doors to REHWA HOME LINEN, a Range of woven, printed and embroidered Maheshwaris designed by Sunanda Dawar (Head-REHWA Home textile division) at their exclusive store in Meharchand Market, Lodhi Road from 24th to 26th September this year.
The exclusive Home linen to be showcased is a creative mix of woven, printed and embroidered textiles. The embroidered Sheer drapes, Cushion Covers and Bedcovers have been exquisitely handworked by Ashraya Niketan, Bangalore.
With an aim to bring forth the variety in weaves and to highlight the endless possibilities of the maheshwari handlooms, Rehwa expanded itself into Home linen. This new venture started two years back with the aim of creating more and more possibilities for weavers in Maheshwar and Chanderi.
It also gives Rehwa Society an opportunity to grow and expand and make a bigger market for its unique handwoven products for both domestic and International markets.
The Collection has a unique variety of Sheer drapes, Cushion covers, Bed linen and Table linen from subtle shades of white, gold and silver to vibrant reds, greens and blues.
REHWA'S delicate textiles are sold throughout India. All surpluses support a school, housing programme and health services for weavers and their families.

About Rehwa Society : REHWA Society is the spearhead of progress for the handloom weavers of Maheshwar, a historic and weaving centre in Central India. Founded in 1978, REHWA Society brings design and marketing skills to Maheshwari handloom weavers. Maheshwar saris were famous throughout Western India due to the patronage of the Royal House of Holkar.

Today, Richard Holkar is the President of the Society. While Sunanda Dawar designs the Home linen, Mira Sagar designs the Apparel textiles. Together REHWA works towards the upliftment of its in-house weavers and the weavers of Maheshwar.
