Event Details : It is a privelege to annnounce the opening of the Steidlville, New Delhi bookshop at Photoink. To celebrate this occasion, an exhibition of books published by Steidi will be displayed. An independent publishing house and book production facility based in Germany, Steidl's reputation for making the most beautiful phogoraphy books is legendary. Steidl is the publisher of some of the most significant books on photography, fine art and fashion. The books in this exhibition have been gathered across diferent genres in an attempt to share the immense possibilities within the photographic image. Well before photography became institutionally accepted as an art practice, photobooks existed and were widely collected. Bringing Steidl books to India is an opportunity for photographers, students, photography lovers, curators and collectors to engage with the works of many influential and contemporary photographers across the world.
