Event Details : Bharatanatyam Dance recital by Anupama Naveen. The program will mainly consists of regular margam which includes: pushpanjali based on Lord Shiva; varnam ( Karthikei );02 padams ( Godess Durga & Lord Krishna ) and Tillana( desh )

About Anupama Naveen : Anupama Naveen has been learning the 'Tanjore style' of Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Padmashri Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan for the past eighteen years. Anupama has performed extensively under the able tutelage of her Guru in both solo as well as group performances which include the famous Taj Festival ( Agra ), Prayag Festival ( Allahabad ), Surya festival ( Trivandrum ), Red&White Bravery awards held in 13 states of Northern India etc. She has also been an active participant in all the major ballets choreographed by her guru, namely ballets like Aaru Padai Veedu, Paramacharya, and Hare Krishna Om Skanda etc. Anupama has also been a part of cultural delegations ( sponsored by I.CC.R ) to various countries like Mauritius,Re-union,Madagascar and Kenya. She has been conferred the title of Kalashree by her Guru in 2000.
At present Anupama is an active teacher of this form of art in Moti Bagh and presently has ten girls being trained by her. She is also teaching semi-classical and folk dance styles in Loreto Girls Convent School, Delhi Cantt.
