New Range of Dell Vostro Laptops & Desktops Launched in Delhi - 11th July, 2007

• Rajan Anandan, vice president for Dell mentioned that a million small business will buy their first system in the next one year & they want to capture this market completely.
  
• Simultaneous with worldwide launch, Dell India now offers the new Vostro range of notebooks and desktops for customization via Dell India online store. The Vostro range of computers primarily target Small Business users and suit their needs of performance and affordability better. Three Vostro notebooks and two Vostro desktops have made their debut in India. First, we’ve three Vostro notebooks - the Vostro 1400, Vostro 1500 and the Vostro 1000. Both the Vostro 1500 and Vostro 1000 come in 15.4-inch widescreen display form factor while the Vostro 1400 is a 14-incher. All the new Vostros come in an all-black exteriors with a sleeker profile compared to the Inspiron laptops. More info and specifics after the jump.

• Dell Vostro Notebook :
• Vostro 1000 :

• Vostro 1000 represents the budget notebook and is powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 TK-53 (1.7GHz, 256KB+256KB L2 Cache) or AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 processor (1.8GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache). It can come pre-installed with any Windows version of your choice from Home XP SP2 to Vista Ultimate. It can be configured with up to 2GB of DDR2 533MHz RAM, 120GB SATA HDD, 8x DVD Burner and 9-cell 85Whr Li-ion battery. The stock config comes default with Dell’s Large Nylon case and costs Rs. 32,650/-
  
• All-black Vostro notebooks
• Vostro 1400 & Vostro 1500:
• As the name suggests, the Vostro 1400 and Vostro 1500 come with 14-inch and 15-inch LCD respectively. Both are based on Intel’s Santa Rosa mobile platform. The Vostro 1400 features option for Celeron M 540 or any one of the Core 2 Duo T5470/T7100/T7300/T7500 processor. All these models of Core 2 Duo processor feature 800MHz FSB speed and 2/4MB of L2 Cache. These systems can be configured with up to 4GB of DDR2 667MHz RAM and 160GB 7200RPM SATA HDD. Both the Vostro 1400 and Vostro 1500 feature option for discrete DirectX 10 compliant graphics from Nvidia. The Vostro 1400 supports only the Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS with 128MB GDDR3 VRAM while the Vostro 1500 can be customized with either onboard GMA X3100, GeForce 8400M GS 128MB GDDR3 VRAM or GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB GDDR2 VRAM. Both the Vostro 1400 & 1500 feature options to select higher resolution LCD panels in the order of 1440×900 and up to 1680×1050(WSXGA+) respectively.
• The Vostro 1400 and Vostro 1500 range of notebooks begin from the price range of Rs. 36,650/- & Rs. 49,650/- respectively and up according to your customization.
• Vostro 1700 series notebooks which come in the behemoth 17-inch form factor haven’t made it to India yet.

• Vostro Desktops -Vostro 200 Mini Tower (top) and Vostro 200 Slim Tower (bottom)
• Vostro 200 Mini Tower and Vostro 200 Slim Tower have been introduced by Dell in India from the new Vostro range of desktops. There is no AMD here! Both the Vostro 200s are powered by Intel processors and suitable Intel chipset. A lot of customization options can also be found here to configure it according to the requirements. Vostro 200 Mini Tower and Vostro 200 Slim Tower PC range starts from Rs. 31,150/- and Rs. 24,150/- resp.
