  • Event Info : Hindustani Classical Music – Flute Recital by Rajat Prasanna from Delhi, grandson & disciple of the late Pt. Raghunath Prasanna and Shri Ravi Shankar Prasanna.
  • Rajat Prasanna belongs to a legendary family of musicians of the Benaras Gharana. From the age of six years he has been learning Indian Classical music and groomed under the kind guidance of his grandfather Late Pt. Raghunath Prasanna & father Shri Ravi Shankar Prasanna. This musical heritage has imbued in Rajat a very keen sense of sur and taal (Musical notes & Rhythm), and has enabled him to grasp and master the intricacies and finer qualities of Indian Classical Flute.
  • At the age of 14, Rajat released a collection of Ragas and Dhuns with Times Music entitled Dharohar-2. Recently Mystica Music has released his new album under the series of Hidden Jems. Since then he has repeatedly performed in All India Radio, Akashwani & Doordarshan.
  • Some of Rajat’s recent programmes include concert at PSK, Delhi; Harballabh Sangeet Mahasabha & Hemant Utsav, Jalandhar; Arambh Utsav at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal and Uttaradhikari, Balaghat; Khan Kae Niyazia & Bareilly Sangeet Sammelan, Bareilly; Sangeet Pratibha organised by Sangeet Natak Akademi at Jammu, to name a few.
