• Samantha’s initiation into the hair and beauty industry took place at the age of 11 years under the tutelage of her mother the world-renowned Aromatherapist and hair and beauty specialist Mrs.. Blossom Kochhar. She completed her professional education at Pivot Point International, Chicago, U.S.A and has the distinction of being awarded for being the youngest teacher in 2000 schools worldwide. Samantha specialized in hair, make-up, and beauty therapy, at the same time she started studying the subject of body language and did a course in People Skills & organizational Behaviour skills at Pivot Point International in North West University, Chicago. She lectures on organizational behavioral effectiveness to various sectors in the service industry. Her recent appointment as Creative Director of Education Pivot Point India was a natural culmination of this background.
• In a span of a few years Samantha’s dedication to the profession and hard work has taken her places. From having led the team of make-up artistes for Miss world 1996 Samantha has progressed rapidly with international cosmetic giants like Revlon and Aviance wanting her to conduct their make-up workshops all over the country. The latest feather in her cap - She has recently been appointed as the Sunsilk Ambassador and is involved in conceptualizing the latest hair trends, styles for their manuals and hordings, ads for T.V. She also imparts training to Sunsilk Hair Experts from time to time.
• Samantha training in body language has made her a much sought after person in the field. Besides running columns about the subject in various newspapers & magazines. Samantha also has been lecturing on this subject to various management schools, the hotel industry, air line industry. She also had a column in the Indian Express entitled, ‘louder than words’ where she offered a significance into the importance of body language and another column for India today plus few names out of her client portfolia are Modicare, Amway, Modiluft, Mckinsey etc.
• As a Makeup, Hair & Beauty stylist she has had the privilege to work with a numerous cinema, theater, T.V. personalities to name a few Shekhar Kapoor, Barry Jones, Dipti Naval, Amir Raza Hussein, Vivek Mansukhani, She also designs hair & makeup for the entire fashion models scene in the country. The top fashion models are her clients. Her expertise in the field of make-up has given her international clients like the Storm agency of London.
• She also specializes in special effect make- up, such as character make-up, burn victims, accident ‘compositions’. Moreover, she excels in using hair as a medium of art. Samantha specializes in hair as a medium of art and she uses real hair to make hairpieces in the form of flowers, flames boats and she experiments with color to create the effect of variety.
• Samantha is a creative hair stylist for ramp shows and has worked with a renowned choreographers to stylize their hair look to go along with the theme of the show, she even does make-up for model, T.V shoots and stylizes makeovers for fashion shoots. She was the chief Hair designer for Mira Nair’s film Monsoon Wedding. Samantha has also handled the hair and make-up for numerous foreign films including the French film Eight to Nine.
• She was the beauty advisor for the program Beauty 2000 that is aired on DD and often featured on Khubsoorat for celebrity make over, and also on Sahara T.V. She is frequently invited to judge fashion events and taken on as a consultant on grooming to various prestigious clubs, management schools, modeling schools and to members of the hotel and airline industry.
• At present she is working with her mother in Delhi as the Artistic Director of Pivot Point India.
