Event Details : This Sunday, the concert section of Kinkini Dhvani, a prominent institute of the NCR dedicated to the promotion of Indian performing arts, as a part of the Temple Utsavam. The show has been sponsored by the art loving residents of Vasundhara Enclave through their Malayali Association. What a perfect way of celebrating a holiday morning!
The dance-drama 'Prasang' is based on the text taken from the Srimad Bhagavat, Sur Sagar, Bhramar Geet and Chaitanya Charnamrita. It deals with the discourse on the aspects of knowledge, dedication, love, shringar, surrender and bhakti. The production is of about 2 hour duration. 30 dancers are involved in this production who create a perfect environment for this age old discourse on knowledge and bhakti and take the viewer through thousands of expressions of emotions blended in soulful music. The production begins with the 'Purusha Sookta' and ends with a hymn dedicated to the Lord Vishnu.
The dance-drama has been choreographed and directed by Smt. Swagata Sen Pillai, a well known exponent of Bharatanatyam in the Kalakshetra tradition. Most of the music has been composed by K.Venkateshwaran and Shaktibrata Sen while the production uses a number of traditional sankeertans too.
