3:00 pm : I can't Live Without You
Based on real life characters, the film is the sensitive story of a father and his seven-year-old daughter who face separation due to bureaucratic red tape. The movie revolves around the subtle portrayal of the anxiety and the predicament of the central character and his relentless efforts to ensure that he does not lose his daughter, who is told that her legal guardians are her mother and the man she is legally married to.
6:00 pm : Cape No. 7
Aga, a band singer, returns to Hengchun with frustration. Tomoko is a Japanese model assigned to organize a local warm-up band for the Japanese super star beach concert. Together with other five ordinary Hengchun residents who were not expected to be great or anything, they formed an impossible band.
12th September : 
3:00 pm : Yang Yang
Yang-yang is a French-Chinese mix. She has never seen her French father. She does not speak a single French word. Her mum has re-married but she has been very lonely. She started working at the entertainment industry. The fact that she is a mix is a good selling point. The film depicts how Yang-yang dealt with her life, her relationships with men, with her mother and friends
6:00 pm : Blue Brave - The Legend of Formosa
1895 tells the story of the resistance against the Japanese invasion in 1895 (the biggest war in Taiwan’s history). After the 1894 Sin-Japanese war, the Qing government ceded Taiwan to Japan. After hearing the news, some groups of Taiwanese people organized their own resistance to establish the Taiwan Republic.
13th September :
3:00 pm : Our Dreams Our Island
Shot in Kinmen, a small island near the mainland China and under Taiwan’s control. The film tells stories of soldiers stationed in the island in the 1970s, who were forbidden to date local girls.
6:00 pm : The Wall
"The Wall", set in the 1950s during the oppressive White Terror period, tells the story of a glassblower who tries to protect a socialist revolutionary. An unrelenting, socially conscious tale of struggle, violence, and tragedy that reveals the many facets and frailties of human nature.

Background : All these films reflect the quality, range, and vitality of contemporary Taiwanese filmmaking and have won accolades around the globe. For example, Leon Dai’s, “I Can’t Live without You” was described by the IFFI Jury as “poetic, realistic and beautifully designed” Also; “The Wall” was described as “highly cinematic” and “making the political personal”.  This will be the first time that these two IFFI Goa winning films will be screened exclusively for viewers in India.
On the occasion Ms. Joy Yen, Director Information Division TECC said, “Taiwan is already well known in the film and Television arena for its distinct artistic qualities. This film festival will give viewers an opportunity to experience the rich texture of Taiwan’s unique film making style with the aim of sharing its rich cultural heritage, art and history through cinema”.
Taiwan’s movie industry has come of age in recent years by producing excellent films. The purpose of holding these activities is to promote and develop better understanding of Taiwan amongst Indians. These activities will charter an important roadmap for enabling a wide spread knowledge on different aspect of Taiwan culture and its economic growth.
