Event Details : Jazz in the Garden : Wolfgang Haffner Trio.
Having worked with numerous musicians from all over the world during the last two and a half decades, Haffner as a percussionist and drummer played himself to the front rows of the international music scene. His discography as drummer includes more than 400 records though he gained recognition as a bandleader
and composer as well. For the first time in 2007 Wolfgang Haffner was on tour in Germany with his trio "Acoustic Shapes".
Ever since this trio is playing sold out concerts all over Europe and in June 2009 Haffner received the German Jazz Award for his Album "Shapes". On the tour "Round Silence 2009/2010" Haffner presents this new album in Asia and Europe. Being in the excellent company of the Swedish bassist Lars Danielsson and German pianist Hubert Nuss, Haffner had various star guests like Kim Sanders, Chuck Loeb, Dominic Miller or Nils Landgren refining the album whose eleven songs were composed by Haffner himself.
