Event Details : Petofi Book Club commemorates the 125th birth anniversary and the 30th death anniversary of Gyula Germanus. His popular books make his life well known for many; and the scholarly activities of the outstanding orientalist are also researched from many sides. However, Germanus as a university teacher, as a scholarly mentor, his connections with the scientific studies has many facets to his life. He spent three unforgettable years in India (1929 - 1932). Prominent writer K.C. Dutta will talk about the experiences of the Germanus couple in Shantiniketan.
