NGO stands for Non-governmental organization. There are many NGOs in Delhi working on various issues related to education, poverty, sexuality, human rights, women rights, elderly people rights, environment etc. The objective of setting up an NGO seems to be genuine but few NGOs may be running for the wrong reason. So, be careful while joining any NGO.

how do we know which ngo is infact run with a good intention?
think that in every business, you have certain people who do things for the wrong reason but that doesn't make the sector bad or wrong.
You can check on the work that NGOs are doing, by looking at their audited accounts, annual report and visiting their work + speaking to their partners. If their partners are credible, they are likely to be credible too.
NGO's use public money, so anyone has the right to be able to audit them.
