EXHIBITION ( Painting & Sculpture ) "Ode to Perfection" Group Show at Bank on Art Gallery, Lodi Colony - 4th April to 4th May 09

• Event Details : Ode to Perfection — an eclectic portfolio of paintings and sculptures by various artists — comes alive from April 4 to May 4 at the Bank on Art Gallery, Shop No.12, Meharchand Market, Lodi Colony.
• Presented by Niten Mehta, ‘Ode to Perfection’ showcases some stunning works by renowned contemporary artists, all across India----from Baroda to Shanti Niketan, Mumbai to Delhi and the ubiquitous South. These works represent the best in Indian contemporary art, today.
• Adds Niten Mehta, “The time, the market, the economics; all this do not matter, if the work that I see is perfect. When the right art work comes before my eyes I instinctively know that I want it. It does not matter if the art scene is vulnerable or not, if it is good investment or not. All that is important is the work should strike the right chord.”
• The exhibition brings together, under one aegis, various artists, united in their diversity and artistic expressions, while retaining their own individuality and artistic statement. Indian flavour.
• The exhibition is a stunning spectacle of artworks by Avijit Datta, sculptor Anuj Kumar Poddar, Rahul Mukherjee, Arunanshu Chaudhury, T. M Azees, Hiral Trivedi, Kamar Alam, sculptor Loknath Sinha, Mousumi Biswas, Saptrishi, Sharmi Chaudhuri, Shubra Das, Alok Bal, Sunil Mamdapur, Kisan Duriseti and Uday Mondal, amongst others. Their works span scale, form, size and texture.

• About Bank on Art : Bank on Art Gallery is a new gallery and is run by Niten Mehta. The gallery, a warm space, spread over a split level of 800 square feet, offers cutting edge contemporary art for the discerning viewer and will also extend its creative repertoire to include unique exhibitions, seminars, art conferences and more. The gallery will gradually aim to provide a forum where art can be appreciated and viewed, discussed and critiqued, researched and studied, and last, but not the least, where art can be purchased and traded.
