• “Dhong” is an out an out comedy play. It’s a typical play, where characters of the play are larger than the story itself and emphasize on the title of the play. GANGADHAR is a vaidhya (hakim). He has a son viz. NARESH and a daughter viz. NEENA. Somehow, Gangadhar’s wife JAMUNA finds out that neena sends love- letters to PREM (her lover) through house-servant HARIYA. She asks Gangadhar to find a suitable match for Neena & marry her. This brings in another interesting character SITARAM into the story. Then, Jamuna urges her husband to find a bride for Naresh also. When Naresh & Neena come to know about all this, they marry their parterners viz., CHANDRA & Prem respectively. Just at this juncture an anti-climax awaits………. actually, Chandra & Prem………..
