About Dilli Haat Pitampura : Delhi Haat Pitampura was officially inaugurated by Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi on 13th April 2008. It's an another occasion to celebrate for people living in North Delhi & Nearby West Delhi as they won't have to travel far to INA for Dilli Haat anymore. It will showcase Crafts by Artisans and their will be food stalls from different states of India. In short, the best of Indian culture will be on display here. It's a project of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC).
It is better than the first Dilli Haat in INA in many ways. INA one has serious parking issue but this one is carefully planned to avoid this problem. It has 8000 sq. meters of basement parking & parking capacity is of 250 cars & 250 two wheelers. It won't only have food courts & craft shops but also have spice market, art gallery, sculpture court. And there will be dormitories for the accommodation of Artisans.
The place has craft stalls, multipurpose pavilions for craft, exhibition, food kiosks, fine dining AC restaurant, conference room, double storied, dormitory for craftsmen, Amphitheatre with a capacity of 450 persons, & more..
Two More Dilli Haats will follow after this one : One in Janakpuri, West Delhi & Another in Geeta Colony, East Delhi.
