  • Recently an evening of classical music was organised at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre by Society For Action Through Music, where legendary Santoor Maestro Pt. Bhajan Sopori along with his son, Santoor Maestro and music composer Abhay Rustum Sopori left everyone spellbound with their performance.
  • On this occasion Pt. Bhajan & Abhay Sopori, Kathak Dancer Kakoli Shankar Mishra, musicians Pt. Rajan-Sajan Mishra, their sons Ritesh-Rajnish Mishra along with many others were present there.
  • During the programme Pt. Bhajan Sopori was awarded with 'Pandit Gama Mahraj Smriti' for his contribution to music.
  • Although it was a stupendous musical night with both the Soporis were on the song but in between their performance dancer Kakoli Mishra also made her presence felt with his Kathak.
  • The first presentation of the evening was Bhageshwari Kaunce, in which they performed Laya and Sopori Baaz. After that it was five compositions in Maal Kaunce in which they performed one taal bandish, teen taal bandish, tarana and dhrut gat. During the program Abhay Sopori also singed Dim-Dim-Dimak and Tom Ta Na Na Na.
  • On this occasion Abhay Sopori said it's a pleasant feeling that papa is been awarded with Pandit Gama Maharaj Smriti for his contribution to music. Through music our aim is to entertain the masses as well as to revive the classical music, which is loosing its identity in today's fast track music.
