  • NEW DELHI, INDIA – 22 August 2007 – – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) a global leader in wireless communications today launched the latest phase in its worldwide retail strategy with the opening of a MOTOSTORE in Connaught Place, New Delhi. The MOTOSTORE was inaugurated in collaboration with Technocare.
    # This new store offers a unique blend of experiences and an in-store service centre equipped with the latest tools. It further demonstrates Motorola’s commitment to anticipating and addressing the growing needs of India’s mobile consumers and builds on the company’s strong presence and expansion across the local market. Today’s opening follows recent MOTOSTORE openings in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Pune, Thane, Ahmedabad, Chennai, New Delhi (Lajpat Nagar) and NOIDA.
  • Consumers in New Delhi now have access to a global standard of mobile device retail service, which helps them to make informed purchasing decisions and get the most from their mobile devices. The store will offer access to interactive experiences and exclusive content, as well as personalisation services such as mobile phone tattoos and diagnosis, photo-imaging, etc. Consumers will also get to view the latest video, music clips and Motorola family album through the personal monitors available at the Chill Out Zone within the store.

  • Motorola has spent over two years deeply engaged in a global research and development effort around the new retail concept, and as a result has come up with an approach that is centred around the consumer. As part of this program, Motorola has opened stores in key locations around the world, including in Europe, the Asia Pacific, North and Latin America.
  • The MOTOSTORE offers Moto ServiceOne or one hour service turnaround to consumers, for certain types of repair services. Consumers can give their mobile phones for any service requirements and get it back in only one hour. To enable this, the MOTOSTORE has an on-site service centre with factory authorised technicians for quick turnaround. Extra care is taken at the centre to ensure repairs are undertaken as per Motorola international quality standards. Users have the choice of sending an SMS to +91-98112-93000 along with their service order number to get a repair status of the handset or simply collect an electronic pager from the Motorola service desk and go shopping while the mobile phone is getting serviced or repaired. The consumer will be notified via pager when the phone is ready for collection.
  • In addition, a team of in-store Motorola experts are also on hand to help customers understand the latest technology and get the best solution for their needs.
