About Madhumita Raut : She has been travelling all over the world since last 13 years like a nomad after completing her M.A. in English from I.P.College in DU, performing and teaching Odissi. For 8 years Holland was her base. She got damn lucrative jobs in Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels but finally decided to come back to delhi for three reasons which she told us & are mentioned below :
Firstly, my parents live here. My father is one of those four Gurus who made Odissi classical in 1960s. I felt I had to take his work forward. My inner voice says so.
Secondly, i grew up in Delhi so I am familiar with all its good,bad and ugly.
Thirdly, India is unique and Indians are the most warm people in this world.
