Sunit Tandon introduces a live recording of Rossini’s manic, madcap comedy in a whacky production designed and supervised by Nobel laureate dramatist, Dario Fo. The Turkish ruler of Algiers wants to give away his wife to his Italian manservant and take an Italian girl into his harem, but is made to realise that he has bitten off more than he can chew..
