An Old World Culture Presentation

Sunil Mehra and Askari Naqvi perform two stories Amar Bel and Mughal Baccha, both by the ascerbic, lacerating Ismat Chughtai. Amar Bel is the story of a hapless, increasingly bitter old man unable to deal with the resplendent youth and beauty of his teenage wife. And Mughal Baccha is the tragi-comic story of an eccentric and his beautiful 'fair and lovely' wife foregrounded against the crumbling decay of the old feudal order in the post Mughal period. Ismat Chughtai at her inimitable best!
