Collectively Independent :
Exploring the delicate threads of affinity between creativity and its versatile approach towards the realistic world in diverse emotions, this exhibition is made up of constructive styles by different artists through different mediums. Though working in disparate styles and genres, these artists remain deeply engaged with their shared experiences of movement, Influences, Modernity, and 21st Century life.
Collectively Independent––refers to the fact that the exhibition itself is an exciting look at some of our genius talents. There is a (somewhat) recognisable 'movement'  in  Ruchi Chadha’s works ,  Ruchi shows reflections in moving water depicting what we wish to reflect in our lives,  while Gaurav likes creating compelling stories on canvas with vivid colours, his sense of colour creates rich tones on canvas which depict passion and romance. Often characterized by a sense of enigma, his works of art using non-objective forms and figurative alliances, engages the viewer by inviting them to be a part of the canvas, Sangeeta K. Murthy a well accomplished artist and researcher since the last 25 years, fascinated by turtles, and their positivity, long life and strength, portrays the message of joy, peace and wisdom. Geetika Sangwan’s artwork is an amalgamation of contemporary, abstract and semi-realistic forms which she feels is the continuation of her journey of exploring the relation between human and nature. Smita Jains works inspired by our cultural heritage reflect the rich and varied culture of our nation. Ranging from architecture to cloth design, these pieces of art offer a glimpse into India’s history with colors as a medium, inspiring viewers to grow their own curiosity and nurture their love for history. Bheem Malhotra another seasoned senior artist, presently working as Associate Professor in Art in Chandigarh College of Architecture, does some brilliant abstracts. His passion is to paint different moods of Nature, Colours, Shades & Time. While Kamal Devnath a self taught artist does figurative and semi-abstract which shows his love for life and its vibrancy. His work is a mix of the traditional and modern Indian art. He evokes strong emotions in his viewers through his art. Sunita Komal an Artist from Bhopal, is currently Working as Art Instructor in Jawahar Bal Bhawan Bhopal, believes that creativity purgates from the constant brooding about the relevance of existence. Whenever Sunita Komal is in the realms of creativity she witnesses a total metamorphosis of restlessness into intrinsic pleasure, which is quite visible in her works. Artist Amit Srivastava draws and paints in the classical realistic style working in Oils, Charcoal and Graphite. An engineer from IIT-Delhi, he quit his job and went on to study painting full-time to persue his passion for art. The youngest of the lot is a 13 year old, A consummate dreamer, Mishika Chawla. Her choice of colours  have always had a vivid balance. Influenced mainly by nature, she loves to paint what catches her eye, from breathtaking landscapes to figurative works, she just loves to play with colours.

Art is a language which artist use to bring forward their beliefs , their thoughts and emotions to the society. “Collectively Independent” is the voice of the artists , to bring their thoughts to an audience , to bring  art into the life of everyone , and bringing artist near to art lovers. Collectively Independent is a Show to incorporate different Independent Individual artists , with different  ideas , different style of work , different perspectives , a different view point. Collectively we can make an impact and do wonders , still being Individuals with an individual and unbiased view point . It is a Show to prove that being collectively as a group , yet independent in approach we can work together in a progressive Society and contribute to make it better for all.
