Capitalism is a self-driven system subject to certain inner tendencies whose working out leads to shifts in conjuncture. The emergence of globalized finance during the post-war period and its impact on State activism, whether of the Soviet kind or Keynesian State-interventionism will be discussed in the third lecture in the series.
