Paris, every global travellers dream destination, is seen through the eyes of one who was drawn, like millions of others, by its timeless, ageless beauty in a new exhibition. Rupin Thomas spent three summers in Paris and took 6,000+ photographs, capturing every aspect of Parisian life. A selection of works will be on display at the Lalit Kala Akademi from August 20.
La vie à Paris is a classic look at Paris and its suburbs, focused on the citys brilliant juxtaposition of the old and new.
An economist by profession and an artist at heart, Rupin Thomas has been photographing Paris and suburbs for the past 3 years. La vie à Paris, which showcases 50 of his works, has been split into three parts: Landscapes, Still Lifes with architectural details and Graffiti, that outline a pulsating,

Brief on the exhibition:
A hub for hedonists, a wellspring of inspiration for creatives, and a haven for history buffs, Paris is a fantasy destination for millions of travellers each year. To many, its a living museum. But Paris also pulses and evolves. These photographs by Rupin Thomas are an essence of its ethos-culled from 6000 images taken over a span of 3 years.
La vie à Paris is a classic look at Paris. They are inhabited by "spells", floating objects, incongruous fixtures, events that arise suddenly, unexpected, as if these images were suspending time.
La vie à Paris looks at life in and around Paris in a week-long exhibition of 50 works at the Lalit Kala Akademi in Delhi.
This is Rupin's first show.
