Widely regarded as Father of Yoga in the West Paramahansa Yogananda has played a pivotal role in the spread of Yoga worldwide. His world-renowned spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi has been translated into 33 languages, including 12 Indian languages and is known to be the only book that Apple founder Steve Jobs downloaded on his iPad. Swami Smarnananda who currently serves as YSS General Secretary, is visiting from Ranchi to share his insights on The Bhagawad Geeta, based on the book Good Talks With Arjuna – a new translation and commentary on the The Bhagawad Geeta by Paramahansa Yogananda.

About the Speaker :
Swami Smarnananda Giri did his PhD in Electronics & Communications Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and was also a post doc fellow in Montreal, Canada. He worked in HAL, served as an assistant professor in Nagarjuna University, and as a senior scientist at Osmania University. In 1985, he was to decide whether to join our former President Dr Abdul Kalam in his missile project or join YSS Ashram as a Monk. Well, he chose the second option.
