Event Description : Opera At Habitat Series "Puccini’s La Boheme" film screening. 

Sunit Tandon introduces a studio film of Puccini’s most popular opera about a group of starving artists trying to survive in 1830s Paris, including a seamstress, Mimi and the would-be playwright, Rodolfo, whom she loves. La Boheme virtually defines the term ‘romantic’. The poignant story of Mimì and Rodolfo is told in music of tender beauty, allied, as always, to Puccini’s intuition of what works in the theatre, resulting in an opera that readily appeals to our emotions and senses.
