Event Description : IGNCA Film Circle presents "He Swam Against The Colonial Current" film screening.

The documentary highlights the significant contribution of Tamil Film Director K. Subrahmanyam to the Indian Cinema. He made Nationalist films and advocated social renaissance & reforms through his films. The documentary uses excerpts from his available films out of about 22 titles that he directed between 1934 and 1957.
