Event Description : Hands On Learning presents "History comes Alive" Walk for kids.
The Red Fort has stood witness to important events in its 400 years history. As kids walk through this iconic landmark history comes alive for them. They learn about the history of the fort, the life of the Mughal royalty, the rise and fall of the Mughal empire, the crushing of the revolt of 1857, the birth of Independent India, and finally its relevance to us even now. Kids examine the elaborate decorations in the emperor's private suite, admire the pietra dura in Diwan-i-Khas and imagine the Peacock Throne in it!
