About the Facilitators :

Melody Fears
Born and raised in London, Melody's journey with writing began when as a sixteen year old she won a young playwright competition, having her piece broadcast on English national radio. Her tryst with solo travelling started two weeks post her eighteenth birthday, with a trip to Africa. She has pretty much been travelling and writing around the world ever since - over two decades now.

Her journeys have taken her to six continents and documenting these adventures has been a big part of her journey. Currently in India, the place she has called home for three years, Melody hosts writing workshops and courses, sharing techniques and exercises that encourage the words to flow. She has also worked one-to-one with many writers, from poets to science fiction authors and is currently working on her memoir.

Samarth Jairaman
Engineer by education, Samarth started his career as a programmer before moving on to pursue his deep interest in storytelling. As part of the innovative startup company Storytrails (www.storytrails.in) Samarth hosted highly popular walking tours in the city of Chennai, learning workshops for schools and corporates all the while exploring his city for her hidden stories.

Samarth's journey with photography began five years ago during a trip to Ladakh. Mesmerized by the beautiful landscapes and the stories of the mountain people, Samarth decided to merge his interest in photography with his passion for storytelling. This has resulted in travels to many exciting places and events - the Holi festival in Mathura, the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, Dev Deepawali in Benaras and many more. On the road since April 2013, Samarth's recent journeys have taken him to towns and villages along the river Ganges and in the Himalayas. Samarth was recently mentored by international photojournalists Andreas Rost and Else Gabriel and his work was displayed at Art Chennai on of South India's premier art shows.
