Event Description : Darwesh and Wonderful World invite you to explore Delhi's HER STORY! Join us on a storytelling walk through the walled city of Old Delhi where we will attempt to know a little more about the fascinating women who have lived in erstwhile Shahjahanabad now Old Delhi.
Starting from the very first and only 'official' Empress of Sultanate period- Razia Sultana of 13th century, to the Shadow Empress Nur Jahan, wife of Jahangir, followed by Princess Jahanara and Princess Rohanara, daughters of Shah Jahan and some of the wives of Shah Jahan including, Mumtaz Mahal.
In addition to the all the princely figures we will also be talking about some of the notable nautch girls who lived in Old Delhi.
Our history books do not regale us with these fascination stories.
