Event Description : Alliance Française de Delhi under the umbrella of Francophonie Week celebration presents 'Tri- Angles 3 Arts about India'

What a better way to celebrate Francophonie, than to share the outcome of 3 French women unusual encounter initiated by Jean-Philippe Bottin, head of the Alliance "Tri-Angles" has emerged from the exchanges and sharing of the Indian views of these 3 artists, living in India. Painting, photography and sculpture are brought up together to illustrate this highly colourful country.

Mélanie Dornier Everything started in India, six years ago, when Mélanie Dornier became freelance photographer. Today her work in documentary and editorial is published worldwide through top agencies (Gamma). In 2011, she was selected as an emerging photographer at Salon de la Photo, Paris. Mélanie is also working with a fine art gallery in Paris (Salomon Duval) and had several group and solo exhibitions (France, China, Ukraine and India). www.melaniedornier.com.

Catherine Khosla has been living in India for more than 5 years. She has always entertained her curiosity for manual work, but started sculpting clay only 2 and a half years ago. She developed a real taste for attempting to convey human beings' strengths and weaknesses, through movement and everyday life postures. Her exposure to ordinary Indian scenes turned out to be a very exciting source of inspiration for her sculpture work.

Marie-Laure HUBERT is a French painter, born in 1973. Arrived in India in 2011, she has been deeply inspired by the colours, the smells and the everyday scenes of life of her new adoptive country and has recovered the passion she had to quit 15 years before to manage her work in a Parisian advertising agency and her 5 kids family. Enthralled by the beauty of a woman carrying a bundle of wood, of a sweeper or of a colourful cow’s horn, she tells in colours and material her Indian emotion.
