Event Description : 12th Ishara International  Puppet Festival 2014.

Since its inception in 2001, the Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival has brought to India over 90 international puppetry companies and promoted numerous indigenous productions. Alongside Indian talent, countries that have participated include USA, Brazil, Belgium, Afghanistan, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Ireland, Iran.

Ishara has provided evocative and memorable entertainment and education for Indian audiences and attracts puppeteers and enthusiasts from all over the world. In 2014, the festival is delighted to celebrate its 12th anniversary with a wide and exciting range of performances from across the world. The lineup is more vibrant and creative than ever before. The festival has modern and traditional forms, ranging from rod, string and shadow puppets; to mixed performances with dance, theatre, music and more. 

The festival is organized by The Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust founded by Dadi Pudumjee and is  produced by Teamwork  Arts.
