Review : 9th memorable experience of having a feast for the eyes and ears when the Moscow-based Russian Pop and Jazz Band “Gorod Leta” (“The City of Summer”) presented a spectacular performance at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC).
The function, the first cultural event held at the RCSC in the beginning of the Happy New Year 2014, was solemnly dedicated to the Russian Orthodox Christmas being marked on January 7 every year in Russia. It was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India and the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi.
 The occasion was conspicuous with the gracious presence of H. E. Mr. Alexander Kadakin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to India, and Mr. Fedor Rozovskiy, Director, RCSC. Russian and foreign diplomats, music lovers, artists, Russian compatriots and general public also attended the programme.
 Mrs. Anastasia Khokhlova, Deputy Director, Information and Culture, RCSC, after welcoming the gathering, presented the Russian artists. The name of the band is self-explanatory. The performance of the band, which literally overwhelmed the gathering, was sparkling with abundant joy and energy. The performance also lightened and warmed the hall, packed to its capacity, accompanied by the sunshine of the smile of those present, particularly the music-lovers and art critics. Evidently, the professional musicians and singers from Moscow band tricked the time and space continuum. They turned the chilly evening into a little summer for the audience, who gave a series of huge round of applause from time to  January, 2014, New Delhi: An elite gathering of Delhi had a  Towards the conclusion of the programme, H.E. the Ambassador and the Director, RCSC, the artists were presented with bouquets in appreciation and acknowledgement of their magnificent performance.
