Man and woman are familiar and yet strangers to each other. How much we know ourselves, how much we know the person we live with. We all are familiar to each other but sometimes something happens and the same persons seems a stranger to us. Every individual in this modern era has some ideology in life, some dreams to live for and someone to die for. In order to get something you have to leave something else but
neither leaving nor getting is easier. What happens to a person whose dreams and reality cuts each other, morality and desire moves parallel to each other, what he believes is different from what he does …… and there he discovers his truth of life. The protagonist of the play is in search of liberty, freedom and truth. He keeps discovering himself through the women came in to his life. This play is about his struggle between his own moral and socio-cultural values and freedom of an individual. it redefines love, relationship and freedom in this modern era where every individual is a familiar stranger.
8th October : Genuine liars (Hindi/English)

Moral values are dying. Old social norms are decaying. Relationships are cracking. In such a changing society, where every individual is in search of, identity, liberty and equality. Man and woman are still
engaged in solving the unsolved mystery between them, the mystery of power, possession, violence and brutality and also of pleasure and passion. Man and woman are genuine but lie to each other. This
play is inspired from the paintings of Pablo Picasso which revolves around a married couple, two old lovers ad a prostitute and their understanding of love, marriage and relationship. This play is about the complexities and humour of human relationships
9th October :

Written and directed by: Ms Tripurari Sharma.
May be this summer is another successful play of this group This has also been performed in many parts of India. Now days when live-in relationship is a growing trend in metro cities, this play look in the lives of men and women involved in such relationships. The play explores the nature and complexities of such a relationship.
The lead actor of this play has received the Bishmilah khan yuva award for acting by the ministry of culture, Govt. Of India.
7:30 pm : Roop Aroop (hindi)
Duration : 60 min.
The play has been invited and performed in all the leading theatre festivals of India. This will be the 60th play which says all about the success of the play. The lead actor of this play had received the best actor at Mahindra theatre awards 2010 for the same play.
The play deals with the sensitive issue like gender; this is an entertaining play which talks about the notion of woman and the real woman. The play is set on the backdrop of folk form like nautanki and bedni dance.
About the Directors :
About Tripurari Sharma : Tripurari Sharma(b1956) did her graduation in English literature from Delhi university and completed her diploma in design and direction from national school of drama in 1979. She is a playwright, translator and director of repute and has conducted theatre workshops in India and abroad. She has written and directed plays like Bahu, Birsa munda, Aks paheli, Banjh ghati sazaa, Kath ki gadi, Lal lal hathi and Hello to myself, Poshak, Reshmi rumal, Azizun, Traitors, Sampada, beech shehar. She has directed Mohan rakesh’s adhe adhure , anton chekhov’s cherry orchard for nsd repertory. She has written scripts for critically acclaimed films like Mirch Masala and Hazar Chourasia ki maa, and sanshodhan by Govind Nehlani. Ms Sharma has travelled with her group to Norway, England, china and Pakistan and also represented india in the first women playwright’s conference in the USA. She has been awarded with ceveral awards like Sanskriti Award, UP S.N.A. Safdar Hashmi Award, Bhartiya Natya Sangh Award, Delhi Sahitya Kala Parishad Award (2001-2002), First Women theatre worker Award initiated by IPTA Raipur (2010), HIFA Award (July, 2012) and on 4th June 2013. She was honoured by sangeet natak academy, ministry of culture for her contribution as a director in theatre. Her name was among the Women from India included in the “1000 women for nomination to the Nobel Peace Prize 2005”- an initiative of International Women Groups. (Nomination accepted in Principle).
She is currently the professor in acting at National School of Drama.
About Happy Ranajit : Happy Ranajit born and brought up in Orissa, started theatre in his childhood, moved to join NSD and successfully completed his degree with specialization in acting in 2008 from National School of Drama. He has acted in more than 60 plays with many eminent directors like Ram Gopal Bajaj,
Amal Allana, Anuradha kapur, Tripurari Sharma, Anamika aksar, Abhilash Pillai, K.S rajendran, Dilip Shankar, Devid Freeman, Powel Miskinviz
He was critically acclaimed for his performance as Lovberg in Delhi Ibsen festival 2009. He got the best actor award at Mahindra theatre awards 2010 for his performance in “Roop Aroop”. He also won the best actor award at the international GATS theatre festival for the play Richard III at Beijing, China. Currently he is working at kingdom of dreams as an actor in the play “Zangoora” and had done 1000 shows of it.
Apart from acting he also conducts acting workshops, write and direct plays. He has directed twelve plays such as familiar strangers, the old man and the sea, cigarettes, six characters in search of Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliette, The dark night, The walls, The last boat, Tree of life, wizard of numbers, genuine liars. And also written 5 plays like familiar strangers, moth******er, Hangover, wizard of numbers, genuine liars, a straight proposal
